MEET THE CURATORS

We are guest curators at the Pierro Gallery in South Orange, NJ. We are emerging museum professionals in the Seton Hall University's Museum Professions Master's program. See below to learn more about the curators.

                          Annmarie Ventura

Annmarie Ventura is currently a student at Seton Hall University pursuing a Master’s degree in Museum Professions. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts in English and Interdisciplinary Art from Alfred University located in her home region, Western New York. She has extensive experience exhibiting her own work in student shows and firmly believes that thought-provoking artwork possesses the ability to change the way a person sees and experiences the world; she aspires to aid art museums as they continue to shape perception. She has worked as a Museum Educator and in Museum Development.

Brittany Venturella

Brittany Venturella is a Museum Professions Masters student at Seton Hall Universiy. She is originally from Ohio. Although her graduate track is Registration, she considers herself a generalist. Some of her interests include object care, education, exhibitions, and public relations. She earned a Bachelors of Arts in History and a Bachelors of Science in Journalism (Strategic Communication) from Ohio University. Coming from both a history and public relations background, she seeks to combine both skill sets in her museum career. In Brittany's career, she plans to become a collections manager or registrar in a small to medium-sized museum, where her duties may extend to education, exhibitions, or public relations. She also has a particular interest in how technology can help museums achieve their mission.
